When using my P800 over the w/e, there was a few times when I had no viwfinder on the screen, it was just the symbol where I should have seen what I was aiming at, I was still able to take photos then view them, just not look at them lining them up.

Anyone had this prob before?

Many people have had this problem and has been talked about a few times.

Some cause are:

Memory(Hard Drive) could be full.
Too many programs running.
Ram could be full.

You can fix the bottom two by just turning your phone off and then back on. This will close all programs and clears you RAM.

If that doesnt work then go back and read some more threads. It has been posted here quite a bit

Yeah I just saw that, but I had no apps open and i have 8Mb free, these are the what seems to cause this problem, and a reboot didnt help at the time.

PS, how do I empty the RAM if this is the cause?

Ram is the memory the CPU stores var in for quick random access. it is not written to hard drive(in this case internal memory) as it is too slow to retreive data so it is stored in RAM. So to clear it turn the power off.

When you close programs it should clear it for each program. However not all programmers write good enough code thats why it is good sometimes just to turn off the phone and back on.

Yeah, I was under the impression that going to R2D would be helpful, but as I dont have a Service centre in my town, getting an upgrade means I have to lose my phone for over a week (not going to happen).

I am moving in a month to a place where the SP is close, so I will get the upgrade for it then.
