Hey guys

Iv'e had my GD68 for about 6 months now and have only just got the wap going...still not working properly though, when I try and connect (Im in New Zealand and on the Vodafone network) it says circut is down. Start a data call? If I say yes it thinks for a while and connects, Im on prepaid and I tried to get a pic of this site but my $7.00 didn't go far enough for me to get to the pic. Anyway ALL I wanna do is get some backgrounds and possibly some new rings...I assume if I get a data cable I can download the stuff on my pc and use the data cable to upload them...I can get one for free through work and use it then give it back. Will that work??

Cheers

No chance. The WAP thing about the circut being down is correct. It just confirms you want to start wap. Its in all phones with the same browser. Only place you can get stuff is www.panasonicbox.com the tones suck and graphics are boring. Gd67 was the worst phone I ever used. Get a T300 they are best for graphics and tones at entry level. So the GD67 and GD68 are the same?? When you say no chance you mean no chance for what?? The GD68 supports the same Logo's/Backgrounds as the T68i right, so there are a few I can get, also found that program you can use to do it in conjunction with the data cable..looked like you could use any pic. Sound right?

Cheers

You should be able to send logos using a Data Cable and to download pics from WAP they must be displayed in the browser. No way to save directly like on SE's.

Tones you will never get. I'm not sure what format they are in and Panasonic would not reveal this to me. They also sound really crap too.

GD67 is the European number and 68 is Australia & other pacific areas number. Other than that they are the same.

Have you ever noticed the phone crash during writing an SMS too?
I know a few people who had this problem. Not a nice phone at all.

Hey dood, how's it going? I'm in NZ and on prepay too and just for fun tried to connect to Vodfone's GPRS network. Guess what, I surfed around for over 30 mins and it cost me nothing, I requested a balance before and after and they didn't charge me a cent, maybe there's a certain number of megabytes free with prepay but anywhere I've looked says you need to be on contract to use GPRS. Check out the Vodafone web site for config of your phone, not sure if it's GPRS or not.

I had GD67 from November 2002 and it's a piece of shit. Panasonic is fu**ing about some customer support. PanasonicBox haven't been updated since November 2002. You can use walpapers for SE phones with 101x80 displays but no ringtones at all (only by EMS from Panasonic and you need support from your operator).
