Do all the CPW shops upgrade or is just special centres, I have a local CPW near to me but SE suggested I went to Brighton, I phoned the SE centre today and the Brighton SE centre said it takes up to 8 hours to upgrade

Shame the P800 don't upgrade like the SPV......

Read any Carphone Warehouse catalogue, they have a full list of service centres.

Quote "The Carphone Warehouse currently has 52 Express Repair Centres where many faults can be fixed on site the same day"

As luck would have it none near me of course

I spoke with a very nice lady at the SE centre in Brighton she said they did the first P800 upgrade last week and learnt a lesson (whatever that may mean) this scared me a bit, she also said no upgrades on Mondays or Fridays, and no waiting for your P800 either, I need mine all the time, couldn't be without it so I gonna have to wait I guess

I upgraded my P800 to the latest firmware yesterday. After phoning Sony I found the nearest service center to me (in Portsmouth) was Moco in Fareham.
Anyway, after getting to the shop they told me it would take about an hour and a half to perform the upgrade.
However, I returned after an hour and it was all done - so I presume it can take anything up to an hour.
They said mine was only the second one they've done.
