I bought a P800 sim free last week and put in my Orange Just talk sim card. The WAP works fine but the GPRS does not. Orange have enabled GPRS and MMS for me, which is nice. MMS sends correctly, but I am unable to connect via GPRS.
I get the Blue triange above the Signal, I have requested and applied the GRPS settings twice but the phone still does not properly connect?

Or read the below:
--------------------------------------------------------------------My theory about the Orange PAYG GPRS is that they will only allow approved models to be used i.e. majority of Pay As You Go handsets as listed on their brochure.
Orange can't be bothered to test & approve the P800 for PAYG GPRS as they want customers to use their monthly SIM's only instead now.
There is no reason why GPRS on the P800 should not work with a PAYG SIM, Orange don't want it to work full stop, so seem to have deliberately disabled the GPRS feature.
This is done by recognising the model identity of the P800 by its TAC code (first 6 digits of the IMEI), when trying to logon to GPRS (even though it's shown attached).
Hopefully one day when the P800 reaches its twilight they will sell it as Pay As You Go and GPRS will work by then.
Completely p****d off with Orange about this and to add insult to injury from 1st May the new pay increases on PAYG. What's the point of Oftel in the first place?
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Orange PAYG MMS works fine whereas GPRS will not logon even though it's shown attached.
Called Customer Service twice they blame the P800. SE blames Orange.
