A company who produces Word, Excel & Powerpoint applications for PDA's will maybe make a suite for the p800 (offcourse with editing possibilities].
If we can encourage them enough, by sending mails and so on, we will have a greater chance for this app to be developed.

Thanks for your input!! We do keep track!"
So if you want to see QuickOffice on your P800, email
Mike Compeau on
mikec@cesinc.com
And then followed up by a person from the team making this "Quickoffice"

I would like to underscore something I indicated in a previous posting... and a theme that many others have echoed here:
it's great to email me about your interest in the P800 suite-- keep it up, BUT, don't neglect to inform relevant contacts at Sony Ericsson about your desire to see the P800 or future UIQ devices enhanced with full editing office suite capabilities...
Mike
Please send a mail to the adress above, cause this is an application that is REALLY needed for the p800...
Hope you'll do an efford to make this happen ;D

Ohh... so symbianware is making an app with the same functions??
well.. i can only recommend this Quoickoffice, since i had it on my palm, and it was working really great... i guess they can make it just as good for the p800, and maybe even better... ALL the basic functions where there, and i think we should go for that.
But i'll just take a look at the stuff you mentioned...

Hmm... i don't see that they have made an office package for other devices??
I think we should go for those "cesinc" since that is their main focus to bring microsoft compitable software for PDA's...

Just shot an email in their direction. Used my office email carries more cache (ComputerWeekly) than hotmail.
This is one of those must have apps that people wish they had and we might as well get on at the people you write applications that the P800 and UIQ has arrived.

Hi,
They wrote this: Dear Kris,
We do not have this software but there's a company that already works
on it. So it's coming soon.
If you have any more questions please feel free to contact us again.

So, YASEES, eh? (Yet another Sony Ericsson Enthusiast Site)
Yes, I can confirm we are already working hard on Quickoffice for the Series 60 platform. Naturally, I can not comment on unannounced products, but we have been encouraged by the strong enthusiam shown by SE P800 users here and on other sites. We are also encouraged to have seen that BenQ is working on a UIQ interface device.
Feel free to keep me up to speed on information you think would be relevant to this issue. And, as I've noted before, if you have found good contacts within SonyEricsson yourselves, don't hesitate to encourage them with emails related to interest in an editable Office solution.
Stay mobile!
Mike
