First of all it just says 974kb free. And the list on the left hand shows that you can scroll down so 1MB could be one screen down. Secondly if you know how the T68 acts when you enter the memory status then you have another explaination. The software shows the amount of free memory and then starts to count how much each category uses.

A picture taken immediatly after you've entered the memory status would show zero for every category even if the categories shown uses some memory.

With each day I'm getting more and more disappointed by the T610.
Some weeks ago I thought that it was the ultimate phone for me, but with exery day that passes and I'm reading something about it I'm getting more and more uninterested in it

I'm not agree...

SE have to produce the PERFECT phone. I don't understand why they continue to use an STN screen and poor memory amount

Seriously... the phone has 2MB. Period! You don't have to worry about that. As I explained above the memory status works exactly like the T68 so give it a rest. There are 2MB in the phone shown above.

About the screen. The T610 STN screen is very good (I've tried it in real life) so the complains about it is unjustified. You seems to be obsessed about the screen being TFT or STN. Which is totally irrelevant if it is a good screen and the screen is very very good. PERIOD!

I'm getting a bit fed up with people who are assuming things out of thin air.

ok ok, I believe you you know!
But tell me how much is it possible to store pics (352x288 pix.) in the phone? How much...

Nokia 7250 -> can store more than 300 pics (352x288 pix.)
Samsung v200 -> 100 pics (352x288 pix.)
SE T610 -> ...?

Well.. that is something that can't be answered until we have the released phone with the release software. The size of the images from the camera depends on the amount of compression used with the JPEG algorithm as well as the amount of detail in the image. Also we'll have to see if SE saves the images in an uncompressed format on the phone (for speed) like they do on the T68.

With my digital camera the (2Mpixels) image size usually are between 200kb and 1MB depending on the image (with the same settings).

Besides what good is it to be able to have 300 pics in the Nokia 7250 when the screen doesn't give the photos justice, and you can't have any picture caller-id. And not only that you'll have some problems getting the Nokia photos from the phone without using MMS. You can't beam them to other users. You can get them to a PC, but that requires that the PC has the Nokia software installed. A very big limitation if you ask me.

I'm still amazed by the amount of images/MMS/sounds that the T68 can store in it's 1Mb of memory. I have no doubt that 2MB of the T610 would be more than enough.
