SE has fallen out of the top5 manufacturers. Their sales have kept dropping, and Nokia's have kept improving. The new entrant into the Top5 is LG!

but actually SE can only blame themselves for falling behind. product delays had a big effect.

if you look at their product line-up, their only high-end consumer phone is the T68i! i mean the t68i is good, but it has a shitty color screen, no polyphonics and no java.
compare this with the 7250, and its obvious which one the consumers will buy.

I think that SE will be Nr4 during 2004, if they quickly get the T 310 on all markets and now release the T 610 on the 12th of May and quickly get it out everythere, the same for T 606-608- Z1010 and then should have have a big sales increase in Q4 2003.

as good as the T610 itll only START to be available in June. Thats half the year gone already!
SE need to release more models and start fitting them with some decent screens and entertainment features. Maybe also get some new phone designers. You;d be surprised by how many people buy a phone just on looks!

This is world wide ... if you go to the states, every man and his dog has a motorola phone. In Europe, SE would be about number II I'd expect.

Thats very true ozzie. I feel that SE has relied on sales in Europe and has failed to sell enough phones in other continents. In Europe i also believe that SE have a very firm grip of the market (second or third). SE has to launch its phones and start a marketing push worldwide not just in Europe. At the end of the day Europe is to small a market when you compare it with the whole world
