Well ,finally ditched the T68 and bought a 7650, mine was an upgraded T68, and when it had the old software it had a lovely loud message alert tone.
I upgraded it and
f@cked the phone, the new stupid deet-deet is
COMPLETELY FRIGGIN USELESS, YOU MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am noe back in the loop, a lovely loud message tone, no more missed texts.
Gave the phone to my Ma, she hates it allready
"I can't hear the stupid thing!!!"
A really cool phone completely ruined by that idiotic mistake.
Bye-bye Ericsson ,it was nice knowing you
I work on their telephone switches, and they are a nightmare to programme, looks like it's an Ericsson disease.

Well, guys hope your happy with that POS phone, my ma has returned it and gone back to her 6210.
It is a good little phone, but that one bug ferks the whole thing up, I have an SPV and a 7650 now, and when I'm out on the town I can actually hear a text coming in...fook me wondorous!!!!!!!!!!!
I really do not know what those braindeads at SE were thinking when the implemented that text tone, text messaging is a HUGE international business, with billion of texts sent worldwide.
And their (at the time) flagship phone was utterly shite at doing it.
