i have a t68 and now want an upgrade (t68i). i was told that carphone warehouse will do it for free. however i have lost my warranty, is this likely to be a peoblem? are they reliable? i have been told about 10 mins ago and just knew that someone would be able to give a decent answer on here! UPDATE! didnt get it done today! anyone got any horror stories? will it really take a couple of hours?

You don't need the warranty, they can check by the IMEI, whether the warranty is current.

Yes, they are reliable but be aware you will lose any information stored on your phone since you bought it.

i thot when u upgrade the software all the data in the phone (contacts, pics, ringtones, etc) will be intact? If they will delete the data then i cant upgrade my software but these days the auto shut off bug in my T300 realli irritiates me!

It just depends whether or not your personal information stays on the phone. Some loose all some loose nothing.

I was told to back mine up. A lot of people here have lost their data but when mine was updated i lost NOTHING. I was happy cause i didnt have the cables or anything to do a proper backup.
