Here's a question for those of you who have order your 128 Mb Duo from P800er.com.

Did you choose to ship using normal or courier mail?
Why?
For those of you who choose normal mail, how long did it take?

Have any of you had to pay any taxes and what do you reckon is the risk of having to do that?
How much would it be?

Quick responce would be great!
Cheers,
Parakoos.

Ps. Live in London.

I bought the 64m Memory stick from p800er and did not choose the next day courier thing. So it was sent as if it were just a normal pice of mail (letter size). They said the wait was up to 5 weeks but i got it in 3 days!!!

I think you only pay tax if you get it couriered because they need to know the value of the goods they are delivering so you pay the import tax!

I got it through about a month ago normal post and have no charges yet. If you did pay tax on it I don't think it would be worth buying from them as it is about 30% extra I think.

@ cadcad
Did you choose airmail or courier?
And how did you get P800er to send it as a gift?

My guess is that they send all orders as "gift" if you're to use postal mail. But if you're to use courier service, they'll probably have to declare the actual goods and value with the courier company so that they can clear customs in both Singapore (export) and UK (import).

Got my 128 today from p800er

I opted for courier as I was sick of waiting, dispite what some people say about fedex and customs there was NO duty to pay.

Absolutely delighted to have the 128 stick, now the fun really begins!

@ Parakoos : I've chosen airmail and when I received it, I signed the papers and voila I see no additional costs. I realized after that the gift box was ticked. This is not the first time, I already ordered my brando protector from p800er and it was also sent as a gift. This message was posted from a P800
