Where can I get upgrade to latest firmware in NYC? Do I have to send it to Ericsson?

Also I remember reading a post about pulling some files off of the romdrive of R1D. Let me know which ones before I upgrade it.

I don't think you can get an upgrade in New York.

I send my phones to Robb (ke3ee@msn.com) in Pittsburgh, PA for upgrades.
Turn over is quick if you pay for overnight shipping.

- Brightness/Contrast work better
- Embedded Imagefix

[Pictures]:
- Can select multiple files in thumbnail view
- Better zoom in/out feature
- Widescreen view (right or left handed orientation)

- Theres no forward or back, only play/stop/next/prev
- Display iMelody types

[SMS]:
- SMS delivery report on/off. It is set to OFF by default and if you want this enabled, you must select it for every SMS message.

[Control Panel]:
- General tab => Phone preferences
- New Bluetooth option => Operation mode => Discoverable (?)
- New Time/Date option => Summertime => Europe (?)

[Phone Preferences]:

He used to work for TMobile and my last upgrade cost me $50 excluding shipping.

A company in California currently offers the upgrade at $25 excluding shipping. Turn over is fast as well if you pay for overnight shipping.
People that have sent them their phone are very happy with their service.
