i think the marketing guy in ericsson decided not to put these features although the hardware might fully support it.

I have upgraded mine to a beta firmware which have a calendar. Functioned pretty well. But might void the warranty since I requested it to be upgraded. Oh well, better than nothing. I am happy with it and there aren't any problems with it.
But I do hope the pre-defined stuffs can be removed. They sure wasted alot of memory space.
