Hopefully someone can help - i want to connect my laptop using bluetooth to my T68i and use it to surf the internet (not wap) using GPRS.
Laptop is win2k
I'm subscribed to Vodafone Connect in a monthly plan. GPRS is working fine for WAP thru my plan.
I've searched the forums and have set up a GPRS connection using:
VPN: wap.vodafone.co.uk
CID: 1
user iD:
user@vodafone.net
password: user
phone number on the laptop set to *99***1#
As i said wap on the phone works fine so i'm convinced the GPRS connection is up and running ok.
When I connect to the phone from the laptop a GPRS connection is established apprently perfectly, both the phone and laptop think they are connected. When I try open any web page or ping any server on the web tho it is as if no connection is open (web page not found)
Could it be that my vodafone subsciption does not support internet access beyond WAP ?

You might need to use another APN for web surfing. Search and read the topics again or ask Vodafone please.
