No big difference. R380e is the upgraded version of R380s, with new functions like Ink Notes, new menu icons. It also makes R380e less memory free. This message was posted from a WAP device

Thanks! Is it possible to do a softwareupdate on a R380s so that it becomes a R380e...?

yes it's possible... but as wapt wrote you will have less memory free since the R380e firmware takes up more memory.

Ok... so are the "new" functions on the R380e any good then...? I mean, is it worth it?

if you can live without the new graphical interface, the new games and a few new (not so important) functions as for example the ink notes then it's not a big deal... besides... you will have to pay for the upgrade (~300-400SEK)...
