This is really doing my head in. O2 don't seem to understand. I can access my web mail via the only internet connection I have on my p800 that works which is "O2 WAP GPRS" - no other page works on my p800- not even the Sony ericsson page.
I can NOT get my email, from (from ym BtOpenworld ISP) nor can I get or send MMS messages.

Help... please...

If you are a pay and go customer its because they have stopped gprs on payg. Also, you need to make sure that your wap account is configured on the default browser, not on opera (if your using it) opera only seems to like dial up on my 800. As for email, im not too sure about the settings. I have a working o2 account though. If you want the settings then just pm me This message was posted from a WAP device

I have just managed to get e-mail working on O2 with my p800
I had to put my full e-mail address as the user name even though the account is registered with O2 and I was logging in to O2.

I have user both GPRS and GSM(on 915000) to get e-mail

incoming server: pop3.o2.co.uk
username : xxx.yyy@o2.co.uk
password: xxxxxxxx
outgoing server : 193.113.160.13 (this is smtp.o2.co.uk i think)

these servers are posted elsewhere on this forum but I havn't seen anything about the user name.

Hi every one, I am a new UK member, I,ve been looking through the threads and thought I would post a question, here go's,
I am using a SE P800 with an O2 PAYG Sim with the free 300 x 300 WAP and SMS per month for a tenner, this SIM also has UNLIMITED free GPRS attached to it, don't as me how, but it works, I can get on the WEB with no problems at all using the default P800 browser, but I cannot download my email via GPRS, I have to use dial up, has anybody else got one of these SIMs?? or can anyone tell me a way of downloading email from my pop account?, I look forward to any replies, cheers

O2 only allow their PayG customers GPRS to send MMS over as thats all that some nokias can send mms over.. for that reason only *.o2.co.uk or any server on port 80 (HTTP) are accessable.. thats o2's definition of unavailable.. shame they're too tight arsed to give us unlimilted REAL gprs, eh.. but then again- good job they're too dumb to stop us using it! lol.. peace This message was posted from a P800

You can only send and receive email using an O2 GSM data account.

The end.
