I tried syncing my T300 with the software and it did work, if so then y does the software say T300 not supported ?
Has n e other T300 user tried christersson's phonebackup and did it work ?

Actually, I kind of take that back. It sort of works if I run the SE Image Editor first (better connection app, I suppose) and uncheck the WAP Profiles. It's usefulness is dubious in this state but it doesn't entirely not work anymore.

i too used infrared.
it takes time for the software to scan ur phone so dont think tht it wud show ur phone the same moment, try waiting a bit longer.
