please dont flame me too quickly, I have genuinely tried looking thru this forum for the answer as well as all over google and float''s site. I have a laptop, it has XP and I use outlook and XTND wit the mobile phone monitor. Although I have bluetooth, until I can get my problem solved with the serial connection I wont bother ith that. Phone is a T68i.
Problem is, I cannot get Float's Mobile Agent to work. It either connects then kind of hangs, says Exception:ERROR at the bottom and then eventually disconnects. During the time it is "connected" and I am not sure it is since there is no response from the phone, I can't sync anything. I haven't ever managed to see any of my contacts, let alone send them anything.
XTND works okay, I can sync and swap data contacts and what you will no problem. I just can't manage my phone from the PC and send SMS's That other "phone sms manager" poo and bum thing from ericsson doesnt work either.
What am I doing wrong? All I am doing is dl'ing the program, unzipping it into its own folder and running it.
please help kurios

There's a thread in this forum that is regularly monitored by float and crino, and they do a good job in answering all questions regarding the software that they developed:-)

You can find the FMA thread
here
Please note that FMA doesn't require the

's Mobile Phone Monitor (MPM) to function.
So you're saying you're using a data cable to connect your phone to your computer. It seems to me that FMA cannot find the phone, have you enabled a com port (control panel>phone monitor options>com ports) and configured FMA to use that port?
In the case

, the same principle applies. You need to identify a port which you want to use for

, and then configure FMA to use that

port instead of the data cable port.
If this doesn't help, please post in the appropriate threads. FMA related posts in the
FMA thread or for Bluetooth

related questions, you can also try the
generic BT thread or find the specific thread for your

brand.
