> New problems since R2D

2 quite severe problems I noticed since upgrading to R2D (for about 3 weeks now):
if using 2 SIM cards with same number (for my situation, 1 card in my fix carphone and 1 card in my P800) the R2D reacts differently when the carphone is switched off as before.
Before with R1D (or also with T68m/i), the phone indicated the network name but was infact not on the network, the carphone was still the one receiving calls (or at least calls were identified with the carphone). To unlock this situation, just call once any number on your P800, it would say connection failed and the network would then know the P800 should be the active SIM, not the carphone. Bug in R1D was that you should not retry when it asks after the first attempt fails, since that would make the P800 go into an endless retry.
With R2D, scenarios are when you get out of your car:
1)
the network name is indicated, first call attempt, you'll hear 3 fast tones, the phone will no longer ask you to retry, but goes back to the previous screen. After this you can make a call. (like T68 always did) Occurencies yet: most of the time
2)
the network name is indicated, but no matter how many times you retry, you'll hear 3 fast tones and be back to the previous screen. Power off phone to reset this situation. Not possible to receive calls. Occurencies yet: 2
3)
the network name is not indicated in a similar situation, but the title says "Searching". It is impossible to make it find a network, you have to switch it off and restart to make it find a network. In the meantime, no one can reach you. Occurences yet: 5
4)
the P800 will display "Insert SIM Card" ! Powering off & on again will fix this. Occurencies: 2
5)
the P800 will display "Insert SIM Card", but you cannot switch it even off using the power button! You have to remove the battery to get out of the situation. Powering on again and all is OK. Occurencies: 1
I'm not sure if the Insert SIM Card is related to the fact having 2 SIM cards or not, might also be some flakey contact inside the phone, although my phone is still robust and treated really kindly. The battery & card are very well secured inside the phone. Anyone else had this already?
As you can see, some things were fixed, others broken

sounds to me like there's either a bug in the firmware, or some kind of compatibility problem, or a hardware failure on your unit.
There's also a distinct possibility that this is all the network's fault.
I was sure my P800 was about to die a week ago, and it turns out there was a local failure in a few cells in my area. I figured it out after using the SIM in several different phones and getting similar quirky failures (some very similar to yours).
BTW, What about calling this firmware release R2D2?!
