I have a standard R520M
can i flash this to pocket TEMS ??
if so how and where do i get the software

sure... you can upgrade it with TEMS firmware... but it will not be a TEMS anyway... the TEMS firmware bust be put on the phone during production, it can't be made afterwards...

So can you explain the difference between a R520m
and a R520m Pocket Tems
all i want is to be able to see cell neighbours access barred cells and lock onto chosen ARFCN when testing BTS will i be able to do this on Pocket TEMS?

the TEMS version contains the functions you are asking for and a few other network monitoring features...

if you have a lot of other options in the menus than the ordinary firmware you have the TEMS firmware.... or check the sw version info..

By the way, he you want to use a tems phone, you need to get a license to use it. If you dont, them you are using it illegaly. Your operator will block the phone, making it unuseable. You can actived Net Monitor in Nokia mobile to get all function you want.
In earlier day, Ericsson SH 888 Pocket TEMS or TEMS
can esaily clone with Flash eeprom with proper source

But new handset needs data cable and SW
Too expensive and too tricky!
