Sony Ericsson to produce MS Smartphones soon?

Steve Ballmer (CEO of Microsoft) is in Stockholm, Sweden, where he tries to convince Sony Ericsson to select operating system for cell phones from Microsoft - MS Smartphone. By now Microsoft´s cell phone efforts account only for 0.5 percent of total sales of this corporation. Ballmer mentioned that he has 5-year view of the cell phone market, and expressed his conviction that in future software will be deciding buying factor similarly as now it is the hardware.
"We hope to get an increasing market share. The future will tell if it means 20, 40 or 70 pct" said Ballmer and declined rumors that Microsoft is going to buy Ericsson.

If SE creates an "M200" that uses the Smartphone OS and can boost it's own sales, why not?
Personally though, i think MS is just looking for some big-name partners to help promote it's Stinker OS.

Not Stinker OS... it was called "Stinger" and today officialy "MS Smartphone 2002".
