Can I buy a t610 meant for another country and use it in the u.s.? Or do I have to wait until they release a U.S. version?

The US version of T610, called T616, have as far as I know 1 Euro/Asia band (1800MHz) and 2 US bands (850MHz,1900MHz).
IE, the difference is that the T616 has a 850 band instead of a 900.
So if you can use T610 in the US is depending on what band(s) your carrier is using..

well, I have at&t, so it runs on the 1900 MHz. What I am asking is if the foreigns phones will run just like a u.s. phone. can you change the language to english? What would you need to do?

Historically, SEMC phones usually have about 4 or 5 language options to choose from, depending on where you bought it. English is always availbale I presume. E.g. if you buy it in Denmark, the langage options are Danish, Swedish, Norwigean and English. Like one SW version for all Scandinavian countries..

My original T300 which broke on me was from Saudi Arabia. It worked fine for me. The language options in my T300 now a UK one are Deutsch, English, Francais, Isizulu, Sesotho
