> Reset orange P800 - lost all settings!
Bookmark topic
Hi,
Last night I reset my P800, hoping that it would solve my recent problem with orange GPRS,
However, it seems to have completely wiped all my settings for GPRS etc which I thought would be embedded in the firmware?
Does anyone know what the exact GPRS settings for orange P800s are and if theres anyway to try and get the phone back to how it was when I first got it?
Thanks for your help

the apn for gprs is 'orangeinternet' and i dont think you need any other settings.
Go look on their website for a configurator or ring data services and get them to send you a config text.

Thanks for your reply,
I'll give them a call for the txt I think, sounds like the easiest thing to do,
Just got one more question sorry, does anyone have any good info on how to get a laptop connected to GPRS using the P800?
I tried going through the setup on the site but it doesnt work,
If I set the infra-red mode on the phone to "modem" then my laptop wont pick the phone up, and if I set the mode to "PC connect" then the laptop will pick it up but wont dial any numbers,
Any ideas please?
Thanks again

Managed to get the SMS through OK and setup the settings again,
However, when I try to make a connection, like email or using Opera, I keep on getting:
"unknown error"
Any ideas plz?
Thanks again
