has anyone been able to convert mp3 files to wma and load them on the mmc for the sonyericsson mp3 player? I have tried and although it shows up on my harddrive as a wma file it does not play....also i can save the files on the mmc but when i put in the player the file isnt recognized. anyone with some help [please?

The HPM-10 only plays mp3. Thats why it won't play the wma files.

I dont think that really matters....I thought all mp3 players are capabile of playing wma? I may be wrong...

No not all mp3 players can play .wma. The Mpeg layer 3 algorithm is free and open to anyone to develop and use whereas WMA is a proprietary streaming audio format owned by Microsoft. Third party manufacturers have to pay MS to include WMA support in their devices so many do not opt to add this feature and just stick to MP3.
