Well i just put my phone in the cradle to make a backup of it i have the latest pc connect software instaled , the phone connects to my laptoop and as i hit the backup button it says that i shoud free some memory on my phone as maybe i coud not restore it later i have 3.3 mb free on it (phone mem. not duo) ... i hit ok and it says to press continue on the phone to proced i do that and then step 2 says i have to power up the phone while in cradle i do that and the phone powers and displays backoup in progress but on my laptop it still shows step 2 saying i shoud power the phone ....
sitting here for 10 mins and still nth happens whille phone still displays the same ...
it is vital i make a backup couse im having it flashed to rd2 in the morning !!!
please help ... ?

AFAIK SE don't recommend restoring from backup after upgradeing to R2D, so you can't use one, anyway...

ver of sinc software strange but it woud not go throu with the new one ...
@ lexus did u already have rd2 on ure phone m8?

Lexus..this is not true I spoke to SE help line and they said that it is fine to backup and restore when you have flashed you phone. That is what I have done and no problems so far. I think that this whole "can't restore thing" was just a panic.

I updated to R2D and restored from a backup, and now the audioplayer in fc mode is gone. SE has never heard of the problem when I asked them, but then again they hadn't heard about the lousy outgoing voice quality in R1B either...
If you're on another languagepack than UK Eng, do not restore from a previous backup after upgrading to R2D.
