Anyone got this working yet?

I have installed both darwin server and mpegablebroadcaster and have successfully got a stream to play back in the mpegable player and in quicktime.

My problem is when I try to play it on my p800. I have tried linking from a webpage and typing the url in directly but the p800 just goes to the video program where my movies are listed and thats it.

If I run Switcher on my p800 is lists the video program in there with the link to the stream so I know its located the stream in my computer it just won't play.

To get in to work I had to create a new playlist with darwin called 'live' (this could be any name). I then fired up mpegablebroadcaster and saved the sdp file in the new playlist directory in the darwin directory and started streaming. When I connect to the rtsp url (rtsp://ipaddress/live.sdp) it plays.

I have checked the obvious like mistypes and even turned off my firewall.

I think it maybe because opera and the default browser don't support the rtsp protocol what do you guys think?

Any ideas.

not knowing too much on the tech side of streaming, just let u'd know that i can't seem to view streaming mp4 either - i tried the bookmark pre-loaded on the phone and it hangs on the video app just like yours, maybe they just forgot to link it!

I had the same problem as you at first but then realised I wasn't using my internet gprs account, I was using my wap instead. When I used my internet gprs it works.

You should try using your internet gprs account and you should find it works. Be warned though it can be expensive. I tried it for a for about 60 seconds and ended up downloading nearly 800k.

The problem i have is different to that though. When you go to the video application on the p800 it lists your mp4's you have on it. Well when I try to view a broadcast that I have setup thats all I get. I launch it from the default browser or opera but no luck.

I think I have figured out why but until I get it working i'm not gonna get my hopes up.
