Hey all-

I PM'd somebody individually about this, but I figure that it might be a good question for the board. I've done a lot reading in this forum and over at howardchui on the topics I'm about to ask about, so please bare with me if I missed something in forums that I should have found.

Here's the deal. My plan with AT&T is up in May, and I'm intrigued by the p800 (also the t610 & t608), the ability to browse the real, non-wap internet on the p800 with Opera via GPRS, and the ability to browse the real internet on my laptop through my cell phone via bluetooth/a cable. Whew, thats a mouthful . Finally, I'll be doing all this in Chicago. So here's my questions-

I know people have gotten Opera working accessing the real interent via gprs on the west/east coasts. Has anyone heard if it's possible in Chicago, and if the settings are the same?

If so, is it possible with the same basic settings to browse the internet on a laptop via the phone?

Finally, what about Cingulars internet/data plans? It seems like they have three kinds - Wireless internet (some kind of wap), Wireless Internet Express, which sounds like some kind of GPRS, and then the rate plans you get from going to their main page, selecting rate plans, and clicking the "Data" tab (the plans look like "IM+ 100, IM + 200...IM+ unlimited"). One guy mentioned that you had to sign up for both the second and third plan, and I get nowhere trying to read cingular's site.

I realize that this is a lot of questions, but if anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it!

Thanks,
Adam

Wireless internet is CSD dialup.
Wireless internet express is GPRS.
I do not know if cingular has an entire internet gateway yet or if there internet express is Wap/wml only.

Also i think the cingular Chicago network is 850Mhz which the P800 T610 are not. I do not know the cingular 1900Mhz coverage there, but i remember hearing about them putting up 850.

Tmobile is 1900 only and there full internet plans are as follows

2MB 9.95
10MB 19.95
20MB 34.95
50MB 49.95
