Hi All,
Just seen ppl having problems with there gprs on voda so thought i'd post this as it takes to long to go thru all the searched posts to see if someone else has done before:

I'm on Vodafone via singlepoint (phone 4u) an on some talk 200 bundle thing which means my gprs data is 2.35 per meg, which ain't too bad.

btw.. some slightly disturbing news for mms ppl out there (again might of been posted) the current limit imposed by singlepoint and/or voda is 30kb per message (tho occasionally it will let you go about 4k above). They say this is ample (i find that hard to believe considering one high res image attachment is 50-70kb) and are not gonna change it no matter how much i complain, untill video messaging comes (yeah right!!!) - e-mail campaign anyone?

For those having problems with there grps:

i have 3 GPRS settings and 3 wap settings (don't ask). I use 2 of the gprs settings, one for net accesss and one for mms - as the way they charge would take a very long time for me to work out - but anyways, my gprs settings for net connection are (in order of putting these in manually) - btw it goes without saying do this as a new connection in case it messes up

1st: Name: VodafoneGPRS
Connection: GPRS (tricky one that is:)

Advanced: -

Server: user name : web
password: web
address: internet

Log In: get IP address automatically: ticked

Proxy: (nope, don't tick - or untick if applicable)

Other: enable pppppppp extensions: (again) no tick
authentication: normal

(this may or may not appear)
QoS: Header compression: not ticked
Precedence: subscribed
Delay: subscribed
Reliability: Class 3
Peak Rate: subscribed
Mean Rate: subscribed

I got these over the phone direct (manually - thank god for a headset) after having the most bollox gprs bs given to me by so many departments as they had not much exp of the p800 when i got it

The wap settings i use confuse me too much, when i finally work out which works with what properly (trial and error is so much fun:) i'll add if needed.

The gprs settings for my mms were sent and seem to work fine.

I hope you find this useful.

peace out..........
