Well I was in Japan last sept and I must say if I brought the t68 there it would be a casual phone not even looked at, color screen is a normal thing on mobiles. In the US I would say is like being in the preistoric times, man does the gov't here controll everything they are rolling out with gprs and there is no t39 or t68 only cheap nokia

but here the cdma is going 3g which right now is 3g voice in the summer it should be 3g data with downloads up to 144kb/sec but the phones are so ugly only sanyo has some nice cdma phone the 5000 and 6000 series.

I know, you see these American films (recent ones) and they're millionaires and maffia bosses carrying around these brick phones. I then take a look at my T68 and laugh... hihi, i'm so much cooler than them

well, put asia into consider too.
so it should be:
1st- Japan
2nd- Euro
3rd- Asia
4th- USA
i live in Canada, well i know that the mobile technology here are very far behind (well, it's getting better now, at least i'm using my t68 now). By the way, it's the asian here in canada using t39/t68, other people (non-asian) still using old cheap phone.
I have been to Japan last year, and yes, everyone carry their colour phone and play with them everywhere. I tried to buy a cell phone from Japan just for deceration, but they don't sell it to foreigns, doh... but like, all of them are really really cool. period.

Well to be fair in ER Carter has a Motorola V.66 and because operators in the US chose to use 1900Mhz instead of 900 or 1800 like the rest of the world i think less phones manufacturers want to make specifically for that market.
