> Big Problem! The T68 dropped in the toilet
Bookmark topic
I just dropped my freakin phone (T68) in the toilet and no i wasn't taking a crap, but i grabbed it out of the toilet and looked at it and then the screen turned off but the green light was still on. I tried to turn it off using the NO button but that didn't work so i took out the battery. I'm gonna let it dry for 2 days or sumthing, but does anybody know a way to dry it faster and better? I hope it still works!

put it in the microwave oven

... no just kidding... the best thing should be to open it to get it dried completley... if u just letting it lie on a table drying you will have it running for a couple of weeks (if you are lucky) then you probably have a phone that behaves real strange, or doesn't behave at all since it's completely dead...
another thing you could do is to carefully use a hair-dryer..

Yeah water's usually pretty harmless, once it's dried out it "should" be ok, here's hoping.

Yeah you'll be ok, at the worst you can take it back and say it's got a bug

....very important to let "pure" water flush the phone (battery out of course). Danger is short cuts due to water on printed circuit board (while power on) that may kill some of the circuits. Salt water, just some drops would spell dissaster to the phone because then you get the chemical reactions to destroy the printed circuits on the pcb (printed circuit board). If you get salt water in the phone, remove battery, flud with sweet water promptly and let dry for some days. Anyway let the phone dry on its own...give it a week at least and do not worry about sweet water when the battery is out..let it float...

..Since the warranty is out in the case of water damage you may as well try...

... sorry I think the "It has a bug" thing at the SP would be a problem since those guys are very well up to date on how a phone looks like when it has hit the water (any kind)...:-! But anyway I suppose it is worth a try..the worst you can get from the SP is no i guess...
cheers
and let us all by the new phone holster to the t68 (it is something.13) to keep the phone safe from water..

Just a thought, expensive toy, not the kind of thing you'd want to pay for again
