many of you complain about the fact that the T610 only has 2mb of memory.

I would like all of you to STOP Complaining

because you guys have not used the phone, until you do, then and only then can you start complaining

TRUST ME, 2 mb is well enough memory

Everyone has to decide for him/herself if 2MB is or will be enough memory.

If the memory allocation problem is present in the T610 personally for me it won't be enough.

For a normal phone it would be more than enough, but not for a cam-phone with java.

trust me...as a camera phone 2 mb is a lot

think about it 2000kb

each midi file is 50kb (varies really from 1kb to 90kb depending on song)

each picture is about 15kb (using the camera)

games (lets dedicate 3-5 games) 200kb-300kb

hm...that's like
that leaves 1700kb
if that's the case
then that's like
20 songs ( 1000kb)
wow!

you can still take
45 pictures!!!

do that math everyone....45 pictures is quite a bit

In another post i read that SE stated that the pictures will take 30-40kb each. Do maths now...

When the first devices will be sold we will know how much mem a pic takes and then everyone can decide wether its enough for him or not.

Yes it's true a guy in France tested it REALLY.

- Small pic (120x160) is around 20-30KB
- Big pic (352x288) is around 30-40KB

...

If 2MB is plenty for T610 then why did everyone trash 7650's 3,4MB?
The size of java and symbian apps is nearly the same, depending on the app.
I've asked this before, what if it was Siemens, Samsung or Nokia that brought out T610, you'd all trash it for the lack of memory.
Am I right?

if the memory works like the t68i were a screensaver or pic is 10kb but when its on the phone it takes up 25kb then the memory could be a problem.
if you have a computer it may not be to much of a problem as you can archieve stuff onto it.
i dont see pics and games etc been a problem as i will just stick them on my computer and transfer them as and when.
java as someone mentioned in a thread could be the big problem.if you have a few applications on and who knows what might come out as the phone will be very popular.
and it may be stuff you would use every day so it could eat up the memory quickly and slow performance of the phone.a few people have worked out if you have xy and z it takes up the 2mb.but we dont know how it will affect performance.
also does anyone know if the 2mb is over and above the preloaded stuff not just the pics etc but the software to make the hardware work
