oggplay takes about 100kb installed. i think it already is better then the mp3 player.. im using 45kbps ogg's, and they have the same quality as 80-90kbps mp3's (encoded with lame 3.93.1 with optimized settings).

thus resulting in me having 15 decent quality ogg's instead of 6-7 mp3's with the same audio quality. (i only have a 16mb duo).

i tried to encode an mp3 file into ogg but still gets almost the same memory size, sometimes even higher... im using a WMA encoder... and the only adjustments u can make is its quality on a 1-10 scale... anyone has better encoders?

www.vorbis.com - get oggdropxp there. you can get the lame encoder on www.mp3-tech.com

the point of ogg files is to use a lesser bitrate, thus smaller files, but still retaining the same audio quality.
