> P800 as winamp wireless remote
Bookmark topic
This may sound strange, but one of the reasons (of course there are many others) I have been wanting a P800 was to use it as a wireless remote to control my PC especially winamp.
Well, it's a reality (just got my P800 today). Using bluetooth, I am able to access the web server on the host PC. At this time, all I have is a quick hacked together winamp controller, but now, I can go to bed listening to music, skip songs that I don't want to hear, and shut the whole thing down when I'm ready for sleep.
Here's a cap of the early results:
obviously, it needs a lot more work, but it functions.
BTW, for anybody else that wants to try something similar, I'm just running IIS on Win2k server and using the httpQ plug-in for win amp. You can access the host machine over bluetooth using the host PC's IP address.

Have you seen this freeware app :

Anyway, I'm gonna have a look at the plugin you use on your server, sounds interesting, so I'm gonna try that one.
