I'm from sgp, M1 also, no luck with the email settings, you should try to upgrade your firmware to R3A02
To check your firmware, press >*under service info, SW information

Did you get the software upgrade at the Ericsson Service Centre in Singapore? Any charge?

Upgrade can be done by any authorised Ericsson Service Centre. Free of charge and make sure that they back up your data first! All your settings, including background images, voice dial etc, should not be affected.

I am accessing my Yahoo! mail account over M1 MobileNet ...

- You have to use the MobileNet settings, not the 'standard' M1 GPRS settings. I'm not sure why, but I suspect that MobileNet allows access to a variety of Net protocols such as pop, smtp etc.

- Use the IP addresses of the Yahoo! pop and smtp servers instead of their domain names.

That should work - good luck!
