Does anyone know where the .wbmp pictures that are used for EMS are stored on the P800's memory? l've had a look around & can't find them. I just want to add all the old T68i pictures plus some others I've got.

The smilies are stored on "Z:\system\data" in a file called "smilies.mbm" you can open them in the pic viewer but it scrolls through them very quickly

Thanks for the info, but I'm talking about the pictures used in EMS messages (Create SMS > Insert Object > Picture). The P800 has a Iot but not all the old ones from the T68i & I just want to add them. Anyone got any ideas? Maybe I'll just call

.

I guess no one can tell me where they are coz noone knows. Maybe they are just stored in a .dat file somewhere. But here's some extra I've discovered that complicates the situation.
I went to Insert Object > Picture > New & drew a little picture of a house. I saved it as "House" & it was filed under User Defined, as opposed to Sports, Travel etc. I then noticed a new folder called EMS was made with the file House.wbmp in it. I moved all the T68 .wbmps into this folder. I went back to User Defined but it still only listed "House".
There has to be a way to use the old T68 pictures! Please help.

Guys, i located filekeypad.mbm, edited it... but as u all know, rom drives are
only-read, so i couldnt replace the original file, if someone could answer my question:
How did some people replace their startup.mp4 and shutdown.mp4 which are located on the Z Drive ???
There are no startup.mp4 and shutdown.mp4 located on c:systemzdata but located in the Z sytem drive...
Someone please answer me... thanx

AFAIK if you place a file in RAM in the same directory path as it is in ROM it will use the one in RAM instead. This has worked on all older Symbian OS' like the Psions, so I assume it will work on the P800 also.

Other than the fact that someone has hijacked this thread, I am pretty much having a conversation with myself. But since there may be people who will find this info useful, I'll keep going.
I had a look again & the House I drew was actually a regular old bitmap, so l converted all the old T68i EMS .wbmps to .bmp & added them to the EMS folder under images & Voila! Now you can add alI the classic T68i pics to your SMSs.
I also added an EMS folder under audio & put all the old .imy files in there & they were available under Insert Object > Melody. But when I tried to add them to an SMS they were all "too big."
Oh well. Hope someone finds this useful.
