I´ve been using my T610 for exactly 24 hours now substracting the sleep and toilet visits and so on i´ve been managed to have at least 5-6 hours of pure using.
The first look at the phone is somewhat special and i am ambivalent at first, is it good looking or is it "ugly" that some of my friends say. One thing is sure, it has some kind of 60 and 80 kind of style over it. Looking like a small brick.
The green ( of course the red too ) and blue led is gone forever, and as i try to enter the wonderful world of my phone i realise that there is not only one but three extra buttons, one for photo sessions, one for direct connection to the internet (via gprs/wap) i release the (NO) button as i see the button at the top. Wich works exactly like you turn on and off a nokia.
The colours are sparkling! there is a definite difference between "colour display" and color display! This one has got 65536 colours and it is absolutely wonderful! it looks like a small computer screen indeed.
The extra screen size has been used very smart and u can always see how much battery time there is left (no longer in hours and minutes, sorry) and the connection to GSM/GPRS. And in the "title screen" there is also information about the current time and date. pressing the knob to the left throws you into "write new sms" mode making it really simply to do so. (You have probably realized by now that SE has had USABILITY on their whytebords for some time now) You can probably change this option in lets say "write new multimedia message (MMS)" later on.
pushing the middle button gets u into the now famous mode where there is pictures of all the available activities ( their groups ) The groups are now no less than 12 instead of 9. Something i have forgot to tell is that the "c" button is no longer used for leave option but there is a
Wapping is now easier as you only have to push one button and you are a go.
polyphonic signals makes the phone sound like a small radio! amazing...
The camera is not really that good (IMHO) but is usable for taking photos and connecting them to the phonebook. Taking photos is easy, all you have to do is push the "photo button" once and you are in the photo session, one more push and you have taken a photo.
I may have left out some of the goodies, some intentionally and some because i tend to forget.

The aluminum cover is for real and gives the phone a sense of quality.

but one quick question. What screensaver method does it use? I.e. can you specify your own, can you switch it off or is it like the damn annoying t68i clock one which you have no control over?

There is not 2 but now 7 different SMS signals, where 5 of them are poly.
U cannot alter them by yourself i am afraid, however it does look like there should be possible to do so.

No it does not.
And for those who doesnt like the clock "animation" as i told u the phone is totally blank, leaving no sign of life at the end.
It is very fast to go into this "sleep" mode too, making the battery last longer.
