Hello there
Does anyone know if it is possible or has anyone tried to do the the following:
Export contacts from apple (mac) mail as v cards, to a folder on the memory stick and then import them into their P800? If it is not possible, are there any other ways of doing it, I have 500 contatcs and do not want to infa-red them all individually?
Many Thanks

Thanks for your help...
So if I buy a bluetooth dongle (can you reccomend one) I will be able to send contatcs over to my phone? Is that the same for other things like word or excel docs and downloaded programmes. In addition if I bluetooth them will that let me store them on my memory card?
Once again many thanks

Yep, via bt (and I guess it should also work via infrared..) you can send your contacts, word/excel doc, pictures, software for the P800...When you send data from Mac to P800, the phone will ask you where to save it (internal/external memory).
I can't try infrared for you as my Ibook does not have it...
I use the bt adaptater sold by Apple on their website.
Good luck!

Neither of my Macs (G4 and G3 laptop - both OS9.1)) have Bluetooth, so I've been copying files (Excel, PDF, photos, ringtones) to and from the P800 via the Duo - using a PC card memory stick adaptor in the laptop, and my Sony didigal camera for the G4 (also Mstick). The Duo shows up on the Mac desktops without any problems. I also load the Men in Black game from the CD this way. I e-mailed the contacts to my G4, and they open in Entourage. It's abit of a workaround, but after owning the P800 for 10 days, I can swap and backup files without much bother. The P800 also connects via irDa with the laptop if I want to transfer files that way, but it's easier using the Duo.

I also use a memory card reader to load large files into my P800 via the msDuo; this is the only workaround I have found for the irritating fact that the cable link will not work with apples (I cannot understand why no one has written a solution to this).
using a Bluetooth dongle I Bt my addresses with iSync which works pretty well but not flawlessly (I have not yet tried the latest update)
