What do you reckon will happen to the Gameboy?
Its got three new competitors coming out soon, Nokia N-Gage, Sony's Playstation Pocket and another one called the Helix.
Do you reckon Gameboy will surivive?
It after all has seen of every console that has ever challenged it even when they were technically superior, i.e. Gameboy vs Gamegear in the early 90's. The Gameboy only had a green and black screen whilst the Gamegear had a colour one but Nintendo won out in the end.
Sony will probably be the biggest threat as it already has a large fan base and their console will have playstation 1 quality games and can offer DVD quality movie playback on discs that can hold 1.8 GB.
If the Gameboy is going to survive it needs to be bundled with a killer app. with a free headphone socket for the GBA SP and a link cable. Mario Kart would be a great game to bundle the GBA with.
Or design a whole new gameboy based on the N64, who wouldn't love to play Mario 64 and Goldeneye on a Gameboy.
