Hi, everybody. I've searched the esato for any help on this, but i've found any, so here it goes.

Somehow, i can receive email on my P800, but i just can´t send any. It keep teeling me, after connecting and disconnecting with the email server, that there's an invalid e-mail address in the To, Cc or Bcc field. But there isn't. They're all valid, i can mail then, from the same acount, from my pc. It doesn't work even with a simple To email, with the Cc and Bcc fields empty.

Can anyone help me here? Might it be something about the email acount configuration?

Thanks in advance.

Anyway, i love my P800

have you checked the outbox tab under control panel/messaging accounts? should look like this:
outgoing server address : mail.xxx.com (or whatever is your mail server)
check the boxes: use SMTP authentication and use inbox login details!
hope this help!

Thanks for the reply, dracula. Anyway, i've already done all that, but it just doesn't work. It connects with the server, it send's the email until about 50%, then it disconnects and return that error...

Kinda strange, no?

check with you IT guys or ISP if there are different servers for the outgoing and incoming mail! that could be another reason!

No, they're the same. I've copied the email acount settings from my pc.

I'm getting out of ideas...

I think so, too, i just cant figure out what's wrong. Do you write an email adress anyway diferent from the way you do in your pc?

Even if i put the same adress (something like myemail@myserver.pt) on the To, Cc, and Bcc fields, it returns that error...

There's no need, thanks. I'm trying to send mail to my girlfriend, to my other email accounts, to some friends, but anything seems to work.

The strange here is that i don't think that's something about permissions or configurations on the email server, because i can get my email at anytime. The server is the same, the incomming port is 110 and the outgoing port is 25. That's everything ok about that. And i don't see anything more to adjust on my p800. So, i just cant see what's wrong with this...

jonnix:

Qual é o teu servidor de email e qual o operador móvel que faculta a ligação? Já agora é uma ligação GPRS ou CSD?
Consegues ligar-te à Net através do browser do P800?

@all: sorry about this weirdo jargon stuff, but since we're from Portugal, nothing better than our native language to solve this issue
