I remeber the very poor speed on the SMS-writing on T68. How is this on T610? It must be fast, like on Nokia

Yes it is. It's faster than on a 7250, especially because the screen doesn't ghost.

Are you sure about this?
Talked to a guy at a local phone store that had tested it thoroughly today, and when writing LONG SMS messages it is slow comparable to T68. As well as when the memory is filling up, just like the T68...
It seems like people are testing all these things on fresh new phones which are EMPTY... Test it as if you had the phone for a month or two, and things are starting to show... Exactly how it was with the T68!

The only thing that irritates me on the SMS function is that

have changed the space button to # from the good old 1. This is irritating as h*ll, and why couldn't they have the information of standbytime, talktime anymore?

ARG!! Why MUST they f**k things up? It's so damn unnecessary..
@mobile-phil: Are you kidding me?! Is it sometimes slower than The T68i? Only when the memory is filled?
Why the hell can't SE just fix it? They KNOW people are having problems with it on former phones, and they just have to do the same stupid mistake again. WHY!? It just makes people angry, nothing else.

I don't know why they moved the space key, but they did that with the T300, so I guess the space will be there on all future SE phones.
The reason that T610 doesn't have the information is simply (according to a friend that works as an engineer at SE) that it's almost impossible to estimate the time in an accurate way. Because the power usage differs so much depending on what you are doing with the phone. It was dropped because it was considered (in principle) worthless because it was so inaccurate. According to my friend the power usage can be anywhere between 1mW and 80mW.
About the SMS speed, I had no speed problems when I tried my friends phone and that was a prototype which had been used for quite some time, and I found it fast. I wouldn't trust stuff like I talked to a shop owner and he said it was slow. According to the reports frpom people who have the phone it is not slow.

Hmm.... a little tip. You dont have to use the #bar. Just move the joystick twice at right, and you got your space.

i´ve filled my phone with extra tunes, games (java&mophun)
taken pictures, downloaded extra themes and written some sms and filled my cache long ago...
My memory has somewhere around 200KB left and there is no sign of speed loss.

Just read the great review here:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=27660&forum=2 and it also mentions that if the SIM Inbox is full, it's slow... So I guess what they told me was true... This is the same as on my T68...
But I guess the general speed is somewhat better which seems good!
