> P800 Connection problem w/cradle

Hi, i just got my P800 yesterday, and today, i got round to installing the software, i installed the software for it, then connected the cradle to the PC, i got a small popup on the bottom-right of my screen "New Hardware Found", followed by "DCU-11 Found", and again by "New Hardware Installed", not opening up any wizard at all, so i tried to go to Install Software in the suite menu and i got a popup "could not connect to the phone!". Since i am a complete newbie at this could someone please please help me out, i've tried everything that i can think of.

You should be seeing the phone connection monitor in the bottom right of your PC screen a moving arrow and two triangles (one green, one blue) connected by three yellow lines. This signifies your phone is connected. If you're not getting any of this, there is a problem, possibly with the installation.
Once you have done this successfully, you should be able to do the things you describe.

I've tried re-installing the cradle/cable but this changes nothing.

Do you have a phone/connection monitor at all in the bottom right tray? It's a bit difficult to guess what the problem might be without seeing it.
Is it a laptop? If so, you might have to take it to an SE service centre with the phone and see if they can help.
Where did you buy the phone. If CPW, trying calling their data support on 08706071161.

No, i haven't got any new logos in the tray,i bought my phone online, unlocked to all networks. I need sleep now, so i'll try again tomorrow after work. Thanks for your help
