I need help please. I've made several backups of my P800, and after it crashed the other day i lost all my numbers in the internal memory. Everytime i go to the phone book it says "Not Enough Memory" and then closes down. I did a system master reset and tried to restore my backup, but it always fails to restore. I've tried constantly, but to no avail.
Can anyone help? I'm using the PC Suite which came with the P800. Could that be the problem?

Much appreciated,

Ewokard

it just says something like "Restore failed. It is recommended that you retry. Your phone will now restart and enable calls."

Maybe downloading the new PC suite will help. Also i just found out today after checking my system information that my phone has reverted back to R1D after i did a master reset. What crap! The phone when i bought it came with R2D! Now i have to get it upgraded! what shite!

any thoughts guys????

but the answer generally is a service centre. asking for a different answer is like saying 'what is water?' and not liking the answer 'H2O' ! I understand the version number that changes on reset is the CDA which has no bearing on what firmware you actually have This message was posted from a P800

The reason the only answer we give is "go to a service centre" is because thats is the ONLY place you can get it upgraded. To upgrade the P800 you need a system called EMMA II which is only available to approved SE service centres. The firmware upgrades are NOT available on the net.

@ewokard

I had the same problem - I have so far failed to be able to restore a backup using the first two versions of the PC suite. However, I downloaded the latest version from the website and thought I'd give it another go and...........it works!

Now I can upgrade to R2F.....yippee!

i also got this error message after upgrading to R2F and tried to restore. Then I tried removing the memstick duo from the phone and restore worked. so you might try that.

dude, what's with the attitude? we would gladly give any info we have, but you're asking for things that aren't available. so just chill and go to a SE service center. and try to smile when you ask for an upgrade.
