Or is my phone too old? I really would be glad if someone could help me out here. If so, could you please explain the process?

I just checked some specs of your phone, looks like you need to send ringtones to your phone by SMS (that's the only way I see, may be with the help of data cable you can load them too).

The problem is that T60LX is TDMA and usualy there is no SMS gateway to GSM network (exept Telcel, Mexico, the only oneI know to allow SMS transfer TDMAGSM).

Okay, thanks, but I don't really understand much of what you said. I'm new at this and have no idea what SMS is or anything. Is there a FAQ page I can look at on this site?
