My guess is that the word "complete" means just that. 4Mb total memory, 2 Mb usable for the buyer.

It says: "4 Mb complete memory"
It would be real nice if they had expanded the memory to 4 MB, even though I am little sceptical to this. But let's hope for the best

Well, the story does actually say "from 2mb to 4mb", so maybe they really do mean 4mb actual memory! It doesn't look like the story is 100% confirmed though. If this is the delay for releasing it in the Uk, then I am happy to wait

(And if they sort out the hissing)

ok I just called...
I asked them about the 4mb memory, and they said that its not user mb... user mb will always be 2mb..
and then I asked them about other stuff..
When sending a 15 kb picture it will take ~double the amount of space in the phone.. and that has to do with the filesystem stuff.. and I told them to send this as a bug...
I told them that Yeah we have 2 mb, but let send many pictures around 1mb... then the memory is full.. We loose 1mb..
ALSO I told her about the anoying screensaving thing I posted about earlier... That in the t68 when the screengoes to screensaving it still shows the time.. but the t610 goes to complete black.. and its annoying not to see the time..
I forget to ask them about if they are planning to fix a java backup thing..

.. hehe next time I call them...

A bump up to 4MB memory from 2 is probably quite an easy change in the design.

Well if it's an official statement, which it should be if they expand from 2 MB to 4MB, Sony Ericsson should make a press statement. Before that I wouldn't jump to any conclusion.
