I don't really understand but do you mean you are designing a website and want to modify the p800 calendar from the web page?

if so it is not possible!

Or is that totally wrong?

What i mean is ..... I want to include a file that includes dates for the P800 Calender so if u wanted to add a certain set of sporting fixtures etc you could add them all to your p800 calender using the file .. which would be downloadable from my site

Hmmm, I like the idea of that. I guess one way to do it would be to download a .sis file which could be installed and then a button pressed which inserts the appropriate calendar entries for you. A bit messy, but should work. Otherwise, maybe it is possible to download a file which you can import into Outlook - (CSV or something) and then re-sync with your phone.

There must be a more elegant way though surely?

Yeah that would be a great idea. Downloading all the footy fixtures dates and times for your team with one click. Anyone got any ideas?

I will have a think. It must be pretty easy to sync with outlook from a batch file but would be nice to synv straight to your p800. I will mail the SE engineers and see what they say.

Last year I found a web site that included schedules for many major sports. I was able to download the Chicago Bears (American football) schedule into outlook and then those entries would be sync'd to my Pocket PC (now to my P800). Of course, I can't find the link to that site, but I'll look ofr it and post it if I can find it...

Just had a look at that calendar-updates site. The download files are .pst (Outlook folder files) which are not exactly easy to decipher.

I just tried playing around with Outlook - I created a calendar appointment and then exported it as CSV (Windows). This created a nicely readable file format which I could edit as required. I changed the appointment time/date/name and then tried re-importing this back into Outlook as CSV (Windows) expecting it to appear in my calendar, but it didn't work! Outlook didn't complain or anything, but the entries just didn't appear! This must be possible to do - anyone got any ideas? I'm sure after a bit of playing around with the various file formats available, one could be made to work, and then it would simply be a case of generating the file using excel/script/etc and handing it out for people to import.
