> Missing SMS menus on Orange - an idea
Bookmark topic
If someone with more time(and connectivity) on their hands than me works out it if is possible to override the consumer SIM profile using AT command codes would they post it on the forum. If you want a copy of the AT codes it's in the developers form on
www.ericsson.com or I could email you a copy.

if you could put up a direct link it'd save me hassle of searching that site but I've heard that if you put in a SIM from a different network it'll open up all the menus that that service provider offers but this leads to another complication in that our Orange phones are network locked there is apparently a code which allows you to get into the phone even if you don't have a SIM in the phone I'll try and find it again and post it here and that should do it

Then pick "AT commands Online Reference" you will have to register though.
Fortunately I have an unofficial yet official t68 so it is not network locked, hurrah. I really would like the SMS menus back though I am aware there are workarounds such as RCT templates, putting in other SIM cards etc.

Request status is there but doesn't work, under the options menu there should be "request receipt" and "request reply" options. I know these features work on Orange as I've received SMS messages that request a reply when you've read them.

Well unfortunately I have real bad problems accessing pdf files and it really bugs so i can't get to that page I don't think it would be those commands to open up extra menus your best bet is trying a different SIM like I suggested or asking your SE service center but either way please lemme knoe when you get them up

I'm not sure whether I understood what you want (It is the missing Request Reply and Request Receipt options, right?), but why just not try to have the phone upgraded to latest SW?
I believe that it solves these problems.

I'm new to Ericsson since I've always used Nokia. If you want to receive a receipt for a message, just add RCT (uppercase followed by space) to the front of the message text before sending. This works for the Orange network, whatever phone you use. This method also allows you to easily choose which message(s) to receipt without changing any menu's

Hi,
The missing menus are because of something called "CSP Override" where as basically the SIM card overrides the phone.
On the earlier T68m models you could put in a Vodafone simcard etc, configure the options and they'd stay set when you put your own sim back in even though you couldn't see them. Sadly later versions of the T68m (as I found out!) as well as T68i don't work like that.
The only way past this is to get CSP override disabled (or is it enabled) in your phone which is going to be a service centre thing, if they even know how to do it, but then you loose any special menus that appear (like the Orange 'Info' menu) as it's no longer being controlled by SIM card
I also don't think you can configure these options via the AT command set. I haven't memorised them all, but I don't remember seeing those ones last time I looked.
