I bought an UNLOCKED T68i from ebay.com to be used in Argentina. The phone I've received is a T68i with the mark CINGULAR and it has an EXPRESS account on CID 1 that cannot be erased. Here the local GSM provider is TELECOM. The GSM is kind of a new thing in Argentina and the agents at TELECOM told me that the data part (GPRS) of my phone is locked because they need the CID 1 to create the account and it is currently used by some fix set up of Cingular.
I am new with this phone and I found an item "Add account" which seems to allow to define another account along with the Cingular EXPRESS one. The agents at TELECOM told me that it is necessary to access to the CID 1 so they refused to set up the GPRS account. I am wondering if the guys at TELECOM are right or not. I am not sure if I have to claim the vendor at ebay.com telling him that this phone is LOCKED or the phone can be used in Argentina creating another account.
Besides, the phone works fine as a phone. I can also send SMS using GSM instead of GPRS.
Any one knows about what LOCKED or UNLOCKED means?
Thank you very much.

Alejandro
