Hi guys, i gotta question for people who have used the p800.

I know that instead of sending an sms to a number we can send an sms to an email address...it seems to me that the p800 wont let me put an email address in the sms recipient.

Again, i am not trying to send an email through mmode(att) or send an email with gprs connection...i want to be able to send an email sms, just like i used to do it with my tdma fone, and my t68i.
When i manage to put the sms recipient email address, it tells me that i dont have an EMAIL account set up. Seems that it doesnt recognize the fact that i dont want to use gprs to send the SMS.

thanks guys

Well, I did this some years ago. I had to send a SMS to a special number and the first line in the SMS would be the e-mail adress, then in () I would write the subject, after that the message.

But why don't you just set up an e-mail account on the phone? I did that, and it's really easy to send e-mails and recieve them. I do it all the time.

ok i figured it out here it is for someone who would wanna do it:
when you open the sms and you get the screen to type the body... the first thing to be typed in is the email address, then the subject, then the REAL body of the message... then when you send the message and it asks you for the number you want to send to, type in 0000
