> Is P800 solid?

I'm just considering purchase of a P800. Just one problem - I have a feeling this phone seems to be quite delicate. Please tell me after using it for some time - do you have any signs of it wearing? How does the touchscreen react to the button pressing from the flip? Any other suggestions?
I don't wanna throw it all around
but reality is brutal and I need to be prepared for a dropping it once or twice.

Hello! I think you should get a P800 it's a great phone. You can't really compare it to any other phone at the market today. I've owned my p800 for about 4 months. I've never had any major problems with it altough i've dropped it several times. So it's a kind of rough telephone. But don't drop it on purpose just to check my info out. It can break. I'm just a lucky guy...

Well, I think it has a very rugged design and is not fridged at all. It does however have some design faults. IE some models battery cover does not fit correctly and this leaves the unit making a squeaking sound. This can be rectified by placing some foam under battery cover. But Just to let you know.

And one more thing - how would you rate the speed of the P800 in responding to letter entered through the keypad? Is it ok to quickly write sms-es?

I have had a Brando Screen protector for the last month but I used the p800 for 2 month before I got the protector. Looking at it now I cannot see any damage or scratch's at all from either the stylus or the flip.
When writing txt messages I have found my self using the handwriting recognition feature more than any other method. Even if they included predictive text I think I would still handwrite my sms messages. It is pretty much instant with the letters appearing on the screen and after a bit of practice you can knock out an sms message much quicker than the old way
I am very happy with this smart phone!!!!

I dropped mine down the stairs last week, and apart from the battery cover falling off and the battery coming out, nothing broke.
i simply inserted the battery and clipped the cover back on and all was ok..
i would however recommend insurance if you can get it.. i pay orange £2.50 a month and this include loss, theft and accidental damage

When it comes to lag when typing... There is none.. It's like a pc.
You can't write as fast as on a pc but the letters appear instantly.

i used a blow dryer to dry it... then, just this weekend, my friend was drunk, and she poored a glass of wine on me, and my p800 was in my shirt pocket...it got wet, but still running like i just bought it last week...
maybe i am just lucky, but i am gonna end up thinking this fone is water proof
