The joystick illuminates red while charging which is nice. Does anybody know whether this light may also be used for alarms or incoming calls?

it would be good to have a green light flashing at all times, a red fliashing light for charging, and blue light for bluetooth/IrDA connection, like t68i, coz when T610 is in standby mode, the light is so dim, it's not easy to see the time at all, with a green flashing light on the joystick, then user can know if the phone is on or off

I hate that green flashin led on my T68i. It has no use, keeps me out of my sleep and needs battery-power for no use. It is a good thing that they removed the led.

would you grow up first please.
what is not mature in asking whether the led is of use with alarms or incoming calls in silent mode? the vibrating alarm is not subtle at all once your phone is one the table. and a constant light for activated bluetooth would also help for indication. that's no gimmicks at all to me.

@Anuj: Why shouldnt Marty ask this question? It has really nothing to do with further LED Topics.
I wish too that there were more LEDs and that those LEDs would have more options.
Especially ON/OFF options for our friends which get annoyed by blinking lights.
In silent mode it would be very useful as you said, i don't know why they didn't implement such LED and/or options. Can't be a battery issue.

they would have to redesign their phones around these extra LEDs and the phone would look more like a christmas decoration than a phone.
