what is this button used for on unbranded phones of phones other than vodafone?
mine has the option "vodafone live" and is apparently not configurable(really????). which stinks pretty much IMHO as you alway have to lock the keyboard to prevent your phone from going online accidentally.

It is used to enter the wap menu/portal.

You have to change the startup page of your wap profile. Be very careful when you change those settings.
